Intro

Hello!
My name is Colette and I am a potter living just east of the village of Metcalfe, Ontario. I make functional pottery which is both microwave and dishwasher safe and can even be heated in the oven. My passion is to create sculptural works and decorative art pieces which are mainly finished in a method called Raku. More about Raku later.
I live on 5 wooded wonderful acres. Just enough to recharge my batteries.
I have 2 kids, 2 dogs, 5 cats, and after the very recent tragic loss of my beautiful horse Irish, 1 miniature horse. Oh and no money! Goes directly to the orphans listed.
I also have the most understanding, indulgent husband (I only have 1 of these) on the planet.
He doesn't completely understand me yet, but he's trying!
